The Coated Blowback Rig is a splendid rig and has been designed specifically for wary fish that are inclined to eject the bait before the trap is set. The mechanism of the rig’s success works on the principle of the fish being able to blow out the bait, but as the bait is not attached to the shank of the hook; the fish will be unable to blow the hook out as well. The Coated Blowback Rig is excellent with pop-ups and gives a very good presentation. It also works very well with bottom baits. It rarely tangles thanks to the coated material and it also resets itself easily should the fish be cleverer than we give it credit for!
