These are mainly for river and lake fishing to attract fish to the area in which the angler is fishing. With its capacity to deposit large amounts of groundbait in a given place, the open ended feeder also allows anglers to feed large amounts of other baits, either by cramming the feeder full of softbaits such as pellets, meat or worm and caster, or by filling the middle of the feeder with these baits and plugging either end with groundbait.
