The helicopter rig is probably the most commonly used rig when trying to achieve extreme distances because of it’s anti-tangle properties and aerodynamic set-up. The baited hook-line rotates about the main-line axis by the use of the loose fitting hook-line swivel. The name derives from it’s helicopter blade like appearance in flight. This is a simplistic rig that is an absolute proven fish-catcher. It presents baits such as boilies, pellets, meat or corn in a way that will give you maximum hook penetration. The helicopter design casts very well and the leger is at the bottom of the rig. Can be used in conjunction with pva bags.
